We're Leaving on Wednesday, July 23rd!

We're tired of spinning our wheels here in NYC. Our apartment is practically empty, we haven't got much to do, and we're anxious to hit the road! Our pace is still up for rent, which means we're eating the maintenance, but we'd be paying it whether or not we're there. We have a good Realtor on the case and that's all we can really do...so, we're out of here!

So here's the plan -- we leave Wed and head to Philly, where we hang out with Ben and Mindy and celebrate their very recent engagement.

Thursday we hang in Philly in the morning and then head on over to Baltimore to hang out with Rick, Megan, and little Dylan for the night.

Friday morning we get up early and drive all the way down to Savannah, GA, where we have reservations for the weekend at the Savannah International Hostel & Pensione (which looks cheap and awesome). Can't wait!

Got the 3G iPhone

After an excruciating wait in line that lasted 6 hours (which I NEVER would have done, except that the Mac employees, who I would like to choke, said it would only take 2-3 hours, and then I got invested), I finally got the new iPhone. My old one got wet and died about 6 weeks earlier, so I've really been looking forward to getting the new one.

Now I'll be able to be online easily during our road trip, ha!

Got one!

Ok, finally got this blog in shape

It was less painful than I thought it would be, but I finally got this blog looking decent.

I choose to make this roadtrip blog look similar to my old intellectual property law blawg, "Chris Rush Cohen," which had it's day in the sun once upon a time (it was linked to by BoingBoing, Slashdot, and other major leaguers at certain points, but I eventually grew bored of the endeavor).

I'm hoping to add "peek-a-boo" comments like on the G_T blog and to change the title color (which has proven oddly difficult), but otherwise I think this is more or less the final version of The Massive Roadtrip Blog!

Now all I need to do it plan our route... :)

And just for the heck of it, here's a random pic of iPadre's new baby boy, Dylan:
