Durango is a very cute town, pretty tiny, but it has decent bars and restaurants. Lots of tourists come through for the beautiful summers and for ski season, so there's plenty to do, like rafting, tubing, 4x4 jeep trips to abandoned mines (which we missed out on), and horseback riding. It's a great destination! We ended up staying for a week due to car trouble, but we were never bored -- Mesa Verde and Canyon of the Ancients are right nearby, too!
Quick draw competition in Durango: the first shot here was taken at 1:15:33 & the second at 1:15:53 at which point he had already pulled and fired the gun, smiting the unfortunate balloon! My camera takes 6.5 shots per second and I missed all that!
